Nessa stalked the rooftops of Karakura Town, her blue robe hugging her figure tightly as she kept her eye peeled for any unusual activity. She had recently been hanging around attempting to assassinate as many hollows as possible, not least because she could turn them in for bounty with Urahara. Her record of killed hollows grew, and the more she did it, the more evidence she would have that she hadn't been turned into some crazed monster. She knew that Shinji, Rose, and Kensei had been taken back by soul society, and so she saw no reason she couldn't be too. As long as she proved her allegiance. She leapt from one rooftop to the next, her gauntlets gently clinking, their smooth form shining underneath the moon.
She wasn't sure if she could feel a reiatsu around her anywhere, but she kept constantly vigilant, ever aware that her sensing skills were rather poor in the grand scheme of things now. Then again it wasn't like there was much that could threaten her now. Before she'd been just a lowly no-name in the Kido Corps but since she had become a visored she'd seen a strange explosion in power, attributed seemingly to her inner hollow. Regardless it wasn't a smart move to rest upon one's laurels, not if what Gage had told her about this "Olympus" was true...

[attr="class","aritext"]Arashi sat quietly on the top of an apartment complex. His feet dangled over the edge of the railing as he was looking over the town. Ever since his meeting with his former comrade he had been trying to lay low and not get into any trouble. It was for the best if it remained that way as well, considering he was supposed to be dead. He decided to abandon his Shinigami robes for the time being in replace of normal human clothing. His attire consisted of just blue jeans and a tank top that had a pizza slice as a design on the front of it that said ‘You want a pizza of me?’ His aviators helped him with the lights of the town as he continued staring down.
He had been able to avoid doing anything stupid so far but every day it was a bit tougher. Arashi was used to going after hollows and other things. He wasn’t so used to being able to shirk those responsibilities and just remain hidden. Given his personality it should have been easy one would assume, but deep down he only pretended to be lazy. He was a hard worker always striving to get better and to also become stronger. In this world filled with maliciousness he had to continue to improve or it would be his head on the chopping block.
It was during this time he noticed something off. It seemed like the presence of another individual. He looked around casually as if he was just sight-seeing but truly he was looking for a person; or thing. Arashi lifted his shades off of his face as he they were now starting to impede his vision in the night. It was then he saw something moving across the roof tops, a smaller individual, and one that moved fairly quickly. He wasn’t in the mood to deal with a potential pain in the ass.
Arashi swung his legs around the railing and stood back onto the roof. With his right hand he grabbed his zanpakuto and place it on his shoulder, he intended to just avoid this individual. As he started to walk it seemed fate was going to intervene as he tripped over his shoelaces causing his body to topple over into a couple of buckets causing a bunch of noise and attention to himself. ‘Shit!’ He thought. ‘I hope they didn’t hear me.’

Where her reiatsu senses had failed her, her regular old normal senses had succeeded spectacularly. With a whooshing noise, Nessa flash stepped over to the rooftop where Arashi was face down after having dumbly tripped and knocked a bunch of crap over. It hadn't been an easy step and Nessa tottered a little upon reaching the other side. Her steps had gotten a lot further recently but that was pushing the limits of her ability. She could sense reiatsu on him but in all honesty she had no idea how strong he was. On the other hand he felt like a shinigami to her, and so she was a little on edge. She hadn't heard a single word from Soul Society in months. Gage had been her only true connection to the spiritual in this intervening time. She was desperate for news; important news as well as selfish news. At this time she hung back, her gauntletted arms folded over her ample chest, staring down at him with her remaining eye.
"Heard loud and clear I'm afraid." she told him with a slight frown. He had significant enough reiatsu that he wasn't bothered by her. She couldn't measure others' strength with great accuracy but from baseline comparisons this guy felt like... He felt like he was strong. Like at least Taicho level. Nessa had no idea how strong her own reiatsu was, but Arashi would have had her on her knees with passive pressure alone before she had become a visored. "I need to ask you where you and I stand now, fellow shinigami. Are you and the rest of the Gotei 13 wont to be hunting me?" she said, stressing the fact that she still identified as a shinigami, despite the underlying hollow reiatsu Arashi would be able to detect.

[attr="class","aritext"]He cursed in his mind as he heard a female voice come ringing through the bucket that his head was in. Sure enough he was caught. At first he hoped maybe she would just go away but then she continued. He could feel that she was a Shinigami but there was something else there. He wasn’t quite able to put his finger on it just yet though but there was definitely more. The male stood on his feet, turned to the voice, and begun to speak while still wearing the bucket. “Well, I don’t know about the rest of them since I’m not exactly here on orders. So I have no earthly clue as to if they’re hunting you or not.”
This was all true, even without seeing her, he didn’t know anything. He had left the Gotei thirteen awhile back now and was just minding his own business. So if she was being hunted it was news to him. All he wanted to do was to leave though and hopefully avoid all confrontation. Arashi then turned his back on the voice while slipping the bucket off of his head. His white hair had a slight puff to it now.
He purposely kept his back to her so that he could not expose his identity. Just because she might be on the hunt from the others didn’t mean she was an ally. “Anyways, since you don’t know if you’re being hunted how about you get away? Cause I would prefer not to get involved at all with them or you.” He made sure to put an emphasis at the end when he was finished speaking. It was a very rude way of telling her to get away without resorting to a more vulgar manner. He picked up his blade from the ground and slung it back onto his shoulder. Arashi prepared to just leave her there before she could have a chance to do anything.

Nessa paused as this goofy idiot spoke to her through the bucket on his head. Man what was up with this dude. The more he spoke, however, the more the wheels turned in her head. He wasn't here on orders... The way he spoke. It sounded as if this dude was a rogue shinigami. She prickled. Vanessa felt confident that she would be able to tell if he also were a visored, but he didn't seem to be. She had to tread carefully here. There was every chance that this guy was a traitor to Soul Society if he were skulking around here not on duty. He seemed to be keen to hide his identity too, and to get her to shove off, as if he were... Up to something.
It was then that she saw him lean down to pick up his sword. Her eyes tightened, and as he reached down, she flash stepped forward, exiting the step with the intent to push him away from his weapon. Picking it up after having been quite rude was clearly an aggressive action and Nessa wanted to ascertain what exactly was going on. He seemed like some kind of imposter or something and she was feeling incredibly mistrustful. All the same she didn't want to hurt him, hence going for a shove instead of an attack with more bite.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" she snarled savagely.

[attr="class","aritext"]It seemed that she wasn’t going to let him just grab his blade and walk away. No instead she appeared before him with outstretched arms. There was pressure on his chest as he felt her give him a slight shove, nothing to harsh, but it did make him aware of what might be happening. As he took a step back he managed to pull the blade back with his foot and bring it up to his hand. It wasn’t like he would just let her shove him away from his sword. “Look, maybe we got off on the wrong foot or something; I’m not your enemy though.”
He stood nonchalantly facing the woman now, with his hair blowing mildly in the wind he cracked a small smile. “I am who I am, said Sam I am. I’m just me, you see?” He purposely tried to be a cheeky bastard with his statement hoping to goad her into getting angrier. “I’m not someone you’d know. Besides it’s not your business lady, I’m here doing my own thing and minding my own business. It’s not Soul Society’s business nor yours. It’s just mine.” He took a pause here to shunpo behind the woman.
“If I was here to cause any sort of chaos I’d have already started it by bashing your skull in.” Her shove had ignited a small fire in his soul again. It had been awhile since he stretched his legs and arms. If she was going to go around pushing people she didn’t know and acting like she was the police then he was going to respond accordingly. He didn’t need to get into a fight especially with someone of her caliber but it was on the horizon. Arashi felt in his core that things were about to get groovy.

So this guy really was determined to take possession of his zanpakuto was he? Not exactly that she could blame him, but all the same, if he would stop being an asshole... But no. Despite reassurances that he wasn't her enemy, he continued to just keep being a dick. A shinigami in the human world was there illegally if they weren't on duty and this guy 110% wasn't on duty, she could work that much out. Which meant that he was either a rogue, or sneaking out for some kind of joy or thrill or perhaps even nefarious purposes. He continued to chastize her, as if anything wasn't Soul Society's business. The way he spoke confirmed that he wasn't with the Gotei 13 or their allies, so he was a rogue shinigami. Nessa's eyes lit up. It appeared that this guy... They were going to fight. This was an opportunity. If he was a rogue, and she could capture him, there was a possibility that if she returned him to Soul Society, she would somehow be able to put a good word in for herself. Kind of like a bounty hunter, seeking redemption.
"That's a pretty bold claim." she said, whipping around. God damn this guy was fast! He was so fast relative to Nessa that if she wasn't careful a shunpo like that could put her in a very compromising position. "I just wanted to know where you stood, guy. And here you are, being all difficult. That might make a girl think you weren't a good guy." she said, stressing the last two words as he had done earlier. She smirked. A lot of people probably wouldn't consider Nessa a good guy, especially not at the moment. She accompanied the words by creating a small ring of reiryoku around Arashi's ankle, and flipping sideways into a kick aimed straight at him, while she pulled the ring towards her in an attempt to trip the guy up. She didn't have time for guys and their incessant trash talking. It was just wasted breath to her.
{Spoiler}2x speed boost, not that it really does much to level the monumental gap between us. I should have at least got mastered speed before fighting you dammit ;_;

[attr="class","aritext"]Arashi felt as if her statement was partially true, though it seemed as if she would enjoy this. It was then he could feel it, the familiarity of a kido spell, and the sensation of it wrapping around his ankle. He had to move quickly. In his time as a Shinigami he had run into a people with this sort of ability before. Someone that would use their reiryoku to trip or distract their opponents. This was something he had not exactly seen before though, but it felt similar to that of a bakudo. If she intended to bind his ankle then he had a plan to escape it. When she went to tug his foot from him he allowed his weight to be distributed backwards.
Instead of it being tugged out from under him though he concentrated some of his natural energy to his entangled ankle. This allowed for him to release his body part from her grasp but not before he positioned it in a particular way. Arashi was a capable fighter but one that wasn’t exactly known as the best. The last time he had battled someone it ended up with him on a losing team until he swapped sides. This time he was going to win. With her help he swung the rest of his body around while positioning his right arm up.
He allowed her kick to slam into his arm pit but immediately latched onto it with his right arm. He was positioned so that he locked eyes with her while having his arm coiled around her like an anaconda. “I’m not a good guy..” He said as he went to bring her down. He intended to slam her back into the ground with enough force to hopefully knock the wind out of her. “I’m just the bastard that’s going to beat you!”

Dammit! He managed to matrix backwards using her technique and now he had grabbed her leg. She'd felt a solid impact, however, which must have hurt at least a little. She reacted instinctively when he grabbed her, the danger sirens flashing in her head. She had to do something to escape because at the moment, she was at his mercy. As he bust out some Bond one-liner about not being a good guy, Nessa cast a kido which was a specialty of hers; Hado 53.
"Hadō #53 Fumetsu Hishūran!" she cast, extending her one of her gauntlets forth as she did so, her arm becoming wrapped in flames. It wasn't the strongest Hado but it was deceptively fast, and at this range, with about a meter between her gauntlet and Arashi's chest, it would be basically impossible to avoid. After the kido had been launched, she was slammed into the ground, the force of the spell causing to bounce backwards through the air from the impact, letting out a gasp of air, before being able to stop using another reiryoku technique. Her robe had been torn in several places and she had a couple of scrapes and some nasty bruises but was otherwise unharmed.
{Spoiler}Name: Hadō #53 Fumetsu Hishūran (Undying Grasping Flame) ** Class: Kido Tier: IV Type: Offensive Range: Medium (30m) Incantation: Keeper of the gates of Hell, cast your judgment on the foolish Man. He who sits upon to throne of skulls, unchanging, undying. The wallowing lotus pitifully clings to its ashes, the horrors of Abyss reflected in its fear! Description: An advanced variation of Hadō #9, Hishūran. The user's right arm becomes wrapped in white flames, and they lash out at their enemy at x5 Cero Speed. The flames have minor homing abilities for up to the range of the technique, only burns living matter leaving things like clothes unaffected.
Name: Trampoline Class: Reiryoku Techniques Tier: II Type: Defensive Range: 100m Description: Creates a soft, elastic safety net of reiryoku, about 30m^2 that can be used to slow or stop after being sent flying by an attack.

[attr="class","aritext"]While he had been able to successfully sending her slamming down he did have to end up taking another blast from her. This time it was a kido spell. He felt the blast hit him square in the chest causing him to skid back a couple inches. It wasn’t exactly pleasant but he had felt worse. As tiny embers fell from his outfit he vanished from her sight. Arashi would reappear behind her by just a couple feet. As soon as he’d come out of his shunpo he would be aiming to attack her.
He planted his left foot onto the ground immediately following his step and with a quick turn he intended to kick her. He pulled his right off of the ground flinging it forward with his body turning. Arashi was intending to send his shin bone right into the back of her skull. He figured that with their speed differences he could be able to smother her in hand to hand combat. It left him a bit open to her faster kido spells but if he was to attack from different angles maybe he could avoid taking direct hits again.
If his shin was to connect with her skull he intended to follow this up with another attack. Even though these were meant to cause her harm they weren’t intended to kill. No, he wanted to just beat the living crap out of her for sticking her nose in his business; he didn’t want to kill. He still had to lay low after all.

It had worked. He had taken the kido at point blank, chest on! He didn't seem to be too bothered, which was frustrating, but he gave her no time to dwell on it. He disappeared, and Nessa's eyes went wide. He had already showed her his dangerous levels of speed, and so she immediately began casting. This was a kido that she often tended to use on opponents who loved to come up close with their Flash Steps. Without hesitation, she began to cast.
"Bakudo #68!" he was already behind her, she was able to tell by her subpar reiatsu detection ability. If she followed through she wouldn't be able to put up a more comprehensive defence, but it was the best she had. "Hibikiwaru!" as she cast, she felt the impact on the back of her skull, pain lancing through her head as the pillar of energy exploded outwards from her, it would electrocute Arashi, and send him flying backwards with an explosion. The impact on Nessa, however, would send her flying back down towards the roof, flipping as she went down and crashing down hard, and passing straight through into the room below. A family was sat around eating dinner and Nessa had just completely fallen through their roof. Their dog, a Shiba Inu began barking at her, and there was a commotion, however after a split second, the whole lot of them passed out, the sheer force of Nessa's passive reiatsu sufficient to render them unconscious. She leapt back out onto the roof, trying desperately to sense for Arashi.
This guy was strong. She realized that she might have no choice but to use her mask. Her mask currently had a limit of... eleven minutes. Would that be sufficient to defeat him? She wasn't even sure, but one thing she did know was that she was just going to keep taking a beating, due to the incredible difference in their speeds. That knee to the head was still ringing out now. On the other hand, she couldn't use her Kido while masked. Was it enough of an advantage to warrant that? She needed to diversify her techniques more, that was certain. Furthermore her shikai would be all but useless. Did that mean... Did she need to activate her bankai? Already... And this guy hadn't even used his shikai. No, that was too much of an escalation. Arashi hadn't gone in for the kill, so neither should she. He was definitely some kind of rogue and if she could, she would take him back to Soul Society... Or if that proved impossible, at least she would try and get out of this alive.
{Spoiler} Name: Adaptation Class: Shikai Tier: II Type: Passive Range: Self Description: This ability is an augmentation that passively grants Nessa either double speed or double strength. The buff is given to the stat that she is weaker in, relative to her opponent. If her opponent has 2 strength advantages but 3 speed advantages, the buff goes to speed, etc.
When fighting multiple opponents this ability assumes the opponent with the highest rank difference as the opponent. If the opponent has lower attributes than Nessa in both strength and speed, this ability does nothing. If the opponent's advantage is the same in strength and in speed, then whichever is Vanessa's lowest attribute is augmented; if Vanessa's stats are the same for both, it is "random" (the player decides).
Name: Bakudo #68 Hibikiwataru (Resonate) Class: Kido Type: Binding Tier: V Range: 25 Meters Incantation: The distant storm approaches! Ominous booming thunder signaling the incoming wrath of Heaven. The shattered Vault, torn asunder by Raijin's fury! Five chimes, rattling bones, the savage Raijin lets loose his fearsome roar! Description: An advanced version of Bakudō #14, Hibiku. Electricity crackles around the user before a pulse of electricity in the shape of a thick pillar spreads out, delivering a nasty electric shock to anyone who is caught. The pillar barrier then explodes, sending foes flying.

[attr="class","aritext"]Even though he had been quick enough to hit her with his attack she was crafty. This was the second time she had been able to counter attack him when he went in for a move. It was getting to be annoying. Arashi felt the force of the impact all over as his body was flung backwards into the roofs guard rail. He saw that she had been sent in more of a downward direction and was actually sent inside the building, amateur. Of course she just had to go damaging the structure with her kido. At least he hadn’t destroyed anything, yet.
Arashi stood back to his feet wondering if he really needed to go shikai now. It didn’t seem as if she was trying to kill him but her attacks were growing in strength. It would be a problem if she continued as he didn’t know how much more he could take directly. He rotated his right shoulder a bit feeling the sheath of his blade bounce on his body. There was a small cracking noise coming from it as he continued to rotate it. “Hey, do you know how to control your damn self? I ain’t trying to kill any of these humans or ruin their homes. And I doubt you’re an interior decorating skills are good enough to replace everything if you keep it up.”
He smirked as he finished yelling this loud enough for her to hear. Arashi was carefully monitoring her presence knowing that she was close enough by that she could perform another attack. However with her being inside the apartment he couldn’t risk anything. It wasn’t his intention on harming anyone innocent and if she was going to hide in there he’d just wait. He had all the time in the world after all, but did she?

He hadn't spotted her. Perfect. Nessa began enchanting, casting from her hiding place. She had spotted him and had a pretty good grip on where he was. It was time to start really pulling out the stops. She had just the Hado for the job, but she had a trick up her sleeve that would even catch out this guy. She cast the spell quietly, while she was still reasonably distant. "Dipolar tension, strike out. Burning streams fall from the maw of the great winged serpent, decimating all with thunderous potential." the Kido formed upon her gauntlets, before she launched herself up, a shunpo carrying her into the air, as she seemed to launch the kido from her hands. "Hadō #88: Hiryugekizokushintenraiho!" she cast, shouting the name of the kido however... It never appeared. Indeed, instead of appearing from Nessa's hands, shooting towards Arashi, it appeared a mere 10 meters behind him, and blistered towards him at half the speed of a Bala, the full incant Kido more than ten times faster than standard. She also added a second layer of potency to the kido, making it even stronger.
"That's pretty rich given that you were the one that kicked me into the building, dumbass. What's a rogue shinigami doing hanging out in Karakura town anyway? Unless... Don't tell me you're the one who betrayed the Soshi so you could ride on that stupid monkey's dick?" she asked him spitefully, her eye narrowing. She doubted that he would be taken out, even by a Hado as strong as that one had been.
Name: Kido Field Class: Shikai Tier: II Type: Passive Range: 50m Description: Nessa can use this technique to alter the starting point of any kido such that they can be cast anywhere within a sphere of 50m radius centred upon herself. The starting point cannot be altered to be within 10m of an opponent, however.
Name: Hadō #88 Hiryugekizokushintenraiho (Flying Dragon-Striking Heaven-Shaking Thunder Cannon) Class: Kido Tier: VI Type: Offensive Range: Medium (30m) Incantation: Dipolar tension, strike out! Burning streams fall from the maw of the great winged serpent, decimating all with thunderous potential! Description: Fires a gigantic electricity blast of spiritual energy at Cero speed resulting in an truly enormous explosion. With incantation, the range is boosted to 50m and it acquires stunning effects.
Name: Energy Acceleration Class: Shikai Tier: IV(V) Type: Supplementary Range: 50m Description: Nessa can apply this technique to any kido she casts under tier VI while released. When she does, the cooldown of the kido in question doubles, and its speed increases to half bala. If the technique has no cooldown, the cooldown of this technique gets an extra post and the maximum speed is Bala.
Name: Doubling Class: Shikai Tier: IV(V) Type: Offensive/Defensive/Binding Range: Self Description: Using this ability, Nessa is able to double any kido she has cast with a second layer of potency tier V. This second layer is added to the kido's power, and this technique takes the type of the kido being cast (offensive, if hado, defensive or binding if bakudo). This technique does not grant the traditional advantages gained from being a release technique.

[attr="class","aritext"]Arashi was surprised she just leapt out of cover. He thought that maybe she would be smarter than that and would try a sneak attack. Instead she proved to be naïve. If this was going to be the case he would show her why he was going to pummel her. It was in a moment that two yellow arms begun to grow out of his back right under the shoulders. This electrical arms were a technique he had developed to help him deal with multiple attackers or lightning users; as he took a step forward he heard something. It was in a split second after he had grown his arms that they began to be destroyed as he was blasted from behind by her.
She wasn’t that naïve as he felt another impact, this time his back was scalding hot, the attack had successfully seared just about his entire back leaving at least second degree burns. He could feel it, every fiber of his being on fire, and a rush of adrenaline. She not only managed to hit him with a blast that would have killed lesser beings but also insulted him at the same time. He was the one who betrayed their comrades but it wasn’t to just be by the monkey’s side.
“Shut the hell up…” There was a pause in the middle of the battle, the kido spell she had used caused enough damage to blow up a chunk of the roof, and cause debris to fly everywhere. As the dust flowed in the wind it was dissipated in an instance as his spiritual pressure rose. With his right hand he grabbed the hilt of his katana and spoke only two words. “Resolve, Kirin.” He had enough.
In both of Arashi’s hands were two blades both stainless black with a slight curvature to them. His right hilt had started to glow as he launched himself forward. It would only be for a moment before he would vanish. Knowing that he had attacked the last time from behind he wondered if she would be expecting his next step. The man would reappear only five feet from in front of her with his right blade pointed right at her. His hopes were for her to think he would attack from behind again, instead he planned to destroy her from close range with this one ability. A blast of energy shot forward from his blade
Sounds of electricity crackling filled the air as the attack was flying towards her. Along with the pitter patter of blood droplets that fell behind him. He was going to take her serious now even if it meant killing her.
Name: Canon Class: Shikai Technique Tier: IV Type: Offensive Range: 10m Description: Arashi grabs a hold of Kirin, and uses it to control electricity. He takes electricity into the part of the blade where the hilt would be, this would be the area at which the electricity is charged. After he has gathered the necessary amount of electricity, the blade will be used as a targeting tool. He will aim the blade at whatever he chooses, and thrust forward; this causes the electricity to be shot forward like a canon.
It will travel at the speed of a Cero and will also do the damage equal to Tier IV. The damage done is a combination of the electricity shocking them, and also burning them. It won’t paralyze or cause severe burns it is just the combination that causes the damage.
Drawback: Requires a cool down time of 1 posts.
Name: Growth Class: Reiryoku Technique Tier: VI Type: Offensive Range: Short Description: Arashi using his mastery of Reiatsu control pours out reiryoku to his back, this ever growing reiryoku begins to grow out two extra limbs that are connected to his body. The main form of the extra arms is electric covered over in reiryoku to give them a more firm form so that he can strike. The two extra arms are each twice length of his original arms [I'm going to say each one is like 1 Meter each?]. However unlike his usual flesh and blood these arms when striking can deal a damage equal to that of a Tier III, they can also grab things, and even negate other lightning attacks up to a Tier VI. To negate they must either grab the attack, hit the attack, or just plain block against it.
Duration of 4 posts, with a cool down double however long they are used.

She let out a triumphant hiss of breath as he wasn't able to react in time to completely stop the kido, and it blasted him in the back the sizzling arcs of reiatsu lightning searing his flesh. She looked at him, her one eye hard and flinty. She raised her hands into a fighting stance, her gauntlets clicking with motion in the night air. It appeared that she had struck a nerve, not just with her kido but also with her comments. So this was the guy. Well. Perhaps she was in a position to administer a little payback then. She thought of Blodeuwen standing up to all the people she'd been informed had been there that day and her lone ally, this asshole, turning on her. She didn't get along with her ex-commanding officer but she respected her, and more importantly, she was loyal to the shinigami. It pissed her off to no end that someone would willingly throw away something that Nessa would give anything in the world up for.
She couldn't afford to muse too much however, as he had released his shikai. She began casting, anticipating that he was about to administer some revenge. "Bakudo number thirty nine, Enkosen!" she said, as he entered his step. She was fully prepared to turn around and guard from him using the shield and as such she was pretty surprised when he appeared straight in front of her. There was no way she wouldn't prepare beforehand, which meant retaliation was impossible. No, Nessa could only defend from Arashi's attacks. Regardless, the bolt of lightning launched itself at her and she was only just able to bring the shield up to soften the blow, when it hit her.
She was sent reeling backwards, her entire body arching in pain as the crackling of the electricity caused muscle spasms, the plasma dancing across her skin. She had been launched back towards the roof they had previously been on and she was knocked to the ground where she twitched slightly, before getting back to her feet.
"You know, given that you betrayed my Soshi just so you could get buttfucked by a monkey and his retarded hollow friends, I can see why you're being such a rude piece of shit." she said, angrily. She couldn't keep up with this. "You must be a real piece of work, you know that?" she spat. She had to pull out all the stops here. She wasn't sure if she was ready to use either of these things in battle yet. But she had to try. "Bankai... Awai Shiroi Hasu Yōsei." she said. As she did so there would be a huge release of reiatsu, rolling out from Nessa. It was like a viscous liquid, black with a semi-transparent navy outline as tendrils of it reached out from her. However, her zanpakuto... Would not appear to change at all. Her gauntlets remained exactly the same, the only difference being the release of energy. It was a trick she utilized in order to attain the increased power of her Bankai without revealing its true form.
"I don't know if I can defeat you... But you must be returned to Soul Society, in order that justice may be served for your crimes." she said, her hair rustling under the wind of her spiritual pressure. "And so I have no choice but to do everything I can." she said. She formed a heart shape with her fingers in front of her face, a couple of stinging burn marks having made it all the way up to her chin. As she did so, a thick shroud of reiryoku covered her face, forming in a swirl before it coalesced into a large, spiked heart. There was a smashing sound, like a thick pane of glass fracturing and she ripped the heart formed from her fingers apart and the reiryoku solidified into the shape of her Hollow Mask.
"Even this heinous power." she said, her voice rattling as she and her Inner Hollow spoke in tandem.
{Spoiler}Name: Bakudo #39 Enkosen (Arc Shield) Class: Kido Type: Binding Tier: III Range: <5 Meters Incantation: Unknown Description: Summons a large, circular shield of condensed reiatsu to block opponents' attacks. The user's Zanpakutō is used as the central focus of the shield. An Advanced or Mastered user can bypass this flaw and use it on any part of their body.
Name: Titania Class: Bankai Tier: I-VII Type: N/A Range: Self/100m Description: This technique is a result of the Overwhelming Power of Nessa's highly condensed bankai. When her bankai is activated, torrents of reiatsu surge around Vanessa, scrambling all abilities to sense reiatsu. It gives Nessa an overall boost in speed and strength of 3x. Her reiatsu is also doubled, making her mere presence overwhelming. She is also able to generate waves of energy by flicking crescents of the liquid of her zanpakuto outwards (similar to a sword swing) with variable power.

[attr="class","aritext"]So she decided she would go all out now? It seemed as if she struck a chord with her after blasting her back. It was only fitting seeing as she also pissed him off. Now she was going on about how he betrayed Blod to go screw around with the monkey. It almost caused him to snort. Her ignorance was really strong and it was apparent until he beat her senseless she would just assume he was the bad guy. Arashi let her continue on with her asinine behavior as she let her power flourish. It was when she released bankai that he took a note of how strong she truly was.
Then she did something he was curious about. She pulled out a hollow mask, that was what he felt earlier, the presence of hollow reiatsu. So she was a visored in hiding, no wonder she wasn’t a part of the soul society, and why she wanted to bring him in. She thought he had a bounty on his head and could get off without being executed herself. She wanted back in the fold so bad she was willing to try to turn him in. It was admirable but foolish.
He couldn’t afford to take her lightly anymore as it was but now she was at a threat level comparable to the monkey. Arashi had to finish this before it was too late especially since he didn’t know how capable she was with her abilities. He was about to release his bankai but paused. No, it was too early for that. If she had control of her mask and her bankai she would have used it earlier in the fight, it was clear she was only now going all out, which meant possibly she wasn’t ready to use it.
There was no time to waste, he vanished in the air, and appeared a couple feet in front of her. Immediately he had his right blade puncturing the ground in front of him. His left knee fell down as he kneeled before her. Arashi was breathing heavier than before, he was hoping that she would fall for the bait, as he pretended to be weaker than he was. He even brought down his spiritual pressure to act as if he was getting weaker.
He turned his head down as if he was trying to hide his face in shame. All the while his right blade had started to conjure something under the roof top that he was masking by having his spiritual pressure spread out in a small circle around his body. “You talk too damn much…” He took another deep breath as a few more droplets of blood fell. “If you had this fucking power from the beginning you should have shown it! Why don’t you end it already!?” He screamed with as much emotion as possible while his face showed the pain in his wounds. Really though it was all dialed up to an eleven but she wouldn’t know that.
If she came within three feet of him his attack would come out in enough time to snatch her body and hold her in place. He was like a spider waiting for his little fly to come roaming into his webbing and then he’d feast.
Name: The Pull of a Dragon Class: Shikai Technique Tier: IV Type: Offensive/Binding Range: 15m Description: Arashi has Kirin’s blade become surge with electricity before he stabs it into the ground. By doing this, the technique will activate causing electricity to surge out of the ground. The electricity will form into the shape of two dragons, with long bodies. Imagine a long whip but with a dragon’s head.
These dragons are able to travel up to 15 meters from the tip of Kirin, and what they can do is latch onto an opponent and keeps them captive. If the opponent is captured, it will allow Arashi a chance to get a free attack on them. Of course there is a way to break free or avoid the dragons which will be put into the Drawback area. I’d like to note the way they keep them captive is wrapping around an opponent’s limb and biting onto their flesh that will cause them damage of a Tier II.
Note: Damage done is from being electrocuted which is of a Tier II. The speed at which they can travel is is of a cero and the durability is equal to a Tier IV.
Drawback: The drawback is one Arashi is leaving his blade stabbed into the ground which can leave him without a Zanpakuto. The second thing is that the opponent can either move out of the range of the dragons or they can simply reiatsu burst. They of course would have to reiatsu burst equal to the technique which would be Tier IV. Also if the opponent has [Advantages] above they can yank on the dragons, pulling Kirin out of the ground. This will effectively cause the dragons to lose form as the electricity is being lost to the wind.
Kirin must be stuck into the ground or this technique won’t work. It’s just for Arashi to get a chance at a free killing blow. Cool down of 1 post.

Nessa's guard went up as Arashi closed the distance between them rapidly, she instinctively stepped backwards about thirty metres, her general reaction and speed having increased fourfold relative before. She was still slower than him by an appreciable amount but she wasn't quite in instant death territory any more. Clearly this guy didn't want any actual deaths on his hands, it would draw the attention of Soul Society too much. Which was partly what Vanessa wanted. She wasn't sure if they knew that she had regained her spiritual powers, it depended what that little dummy Moeru had decided to do once Hidane had scared him off. Arashi appeared to be quite hurt, he had stabbed the ground and then fell to one of his knees. Nessa frowned. This was the guy whose betrayal had swung the battle against the Soshi. She didn't like her commander personally but she admitted that Blodeuwen was the strongest person she knew by some ways. Either she'd taken a really lucky shot or there was something else going on. Nessa wasn't able to sense any of the changes in reiatsu that had occurred due to the fact that the mere presence of her bankai caused all reiatsu to become completely indiscernible and undetectable.
"I'm not interested in ending anything. I just want you to see justice. The power of hollows is terrible and shouldn't be used lightly. Outnumbered and outgunned... You just decided to join the strongest side in the moment, right? A true shinigami would show more spine!" she yelled and as she did so, she punched the air, unleashing a deadly, but condensed wave of reiatsu that sped towards Arashi at the speed of a cero. See if she couldn't match the front and back sides of his body now. As she did so she would appear behind and above him, preparing to drop kick him, however as she exited her step, the dragons would appear, going too fast for her to do anything about. They bit down on her though through sheer force of will she was able to avoid more than cursory bruising, tensing her muscles, her condensed spiritual power making her skin hard. She wasn't able to move however, her arms each bound at the shoulder. A cero would begin to form at her mouth, hopefully Arashi would be busy enough dealing with the Keijutsu that he wouldn't notice, the red energy slowly collecting. Nessa's cero was painfully slow. It was a power she hated, so she never used it, but it would be useful here, to unleash as a last resort.

[attr="class","aritext"]His plan had worked as well as he could have hoped, albeit she did send another attack at him. He lifted his left blade up in one swift motion. With a quick release of energy he launched another one of his shikai abilities forward at the blast she had sent. The two waves of energy collided negating each other while also causing some exterior damage to the roof. Meanwhile his dragon had her captured in place as he turned to face her. He saw energy forming slowly, a cero?
He recognized the technique but was shocked that she had it in her arsenal. With his right hand free, his blade stuck in place. His entire right forearm including his hand almost instantaneously begun to glow with a light yellow hue; his power was flowing through his arm as electricity started to arc off. He was done fighting her, it was time to make her pay for starting a fight she couldn’t finish. He threw his fist forward in the motion of a right straight, he was aiming for the center of her mask intending to shatter it and put the fear of god in her.
If she didn’t have way to block the blow his attack would be more than enough to shatter the mask. Not only that there was potential to even cause some minor damage to her body as well. Arashi didn’t intend for this to be a killing blow though, instead he was just going to show her how strong he was, and why even with the mask she was not going to win this. As his fist was coming closer he spoke one more time, “Checkmate..”
Name: Dragon's Punch Class: Hand to Hand Tier: V Type: Offensive Range: 5m Description: The second hand to hand technique in which the user can coat both of his arms up to the elbow in a yellow hue. The man's reiryoku then causes sparks to start to fly off of the arm while also creating the noise of static electricity. From there just like in Hurricane whenever the man decides to punch someone whether it misses or hits a large blast of electricity is sent forward. The blast has a range of five meters and does damage equal to a Tier V. With enough force to even cancel out Tier V techniques and below, [with advantages.] The lightning travels at cero speed if it misses.

Oh shit. Oh shit oh shit oh shit. Nessa entered total panic mode, her eyes going wide and her pupils contracting to pinpricks. He was able to block her reijutsu, and now he had her at his mercy, bound. Her cero wasn't charging fast enough, and as soon as she had gathered the energy together, a punch with enormous spiritual power behind it came straight towards her face, punching straight through the Cero, and connecting with her mask, which splintered into dust. She was thrown backwards, arcing gracefully through the air, finally rolling to a halt some distance away, her broken nose bleeding profusely. She groaned, her body ached. How could he be so strong? She wasn't good enough... She had to train harder, and become stronger. If she even survived. In all likelihood this guy was going to try and kill her now. She tried to get to her feet but couldn't, her body gave up on her and she collapsed.
Her mind spiralled. She found herself awaking inside her inner world. The corridors, all a deep blue, were shrouded in a waist-deep mist. Yousei was nowhere to be seen. She wandered forward, almost forgetting the fight that was happening. There was a chuckle from somewhere deep down the halls. She raised her fists. If she wasn't careful, Yousei might get the drop on her. She rounded a corner and saw her hideously disfigured zanpakuto spirit standing there with a grin on her face.
"What is the meaning of this?" Vanessa asked, cautiously.
"You lost." the spirit responded. She frowned.
"What of it?" she asked. Was this going to be an attempt from her inner hollow to take over?
"You're not supposed to lose... If you lose... You're mine." Yousei responded. Predictable. Vanessa scoffed, flicking a ribbon of blue hair back over her shoulder. If she had to fight here, now, she would. If she thought Arashi would kill her as is that was one thing, but if she began to hollowfy, he would definitely put an end to her.
"The mask was supposed to make me more powerful. That was the trade-off. Instead it just stopped me using my kido, and didn't even catch me up to half of this guy's speed. What was I supposed to do!? You won't fare any better either." she said angrily. Yousei's eyes flashed with anger at Nessa's criticism. She clearly hadn't expected that. She was no longer feeble human!Ness. She was self-righteous, angry, proud shinigami Vanessa, and she wasn't willing to let her hollow-spirit take even an inch.
"Well you've been blocking yourself off from your true hollow power... Your Cero, for example. It is pitiful... Don't blame me for your own fear, your own inadequacy!" Yousei yelled, and leapt at her, bringing her arm down in a chop. Nessa blocked it, and proceeded to grip Yousei's arm and fling her into a wall. She flew head over heels and bounced off of the wall, the spirit aiming a kick at the shinigami. Nessa grabbed her once more and swung her around, sending the mist swirling as the spirit skidded backwards across the floor.
"No. I'm not "giving in" to such a sordid power. I'm the victor. I killed the hollow. I am the queen of this world and you are my subject. Instead, how about this." she said, before flash stepping and exiting behind the spirit. Nessa grabbed her from behind and locked the spirit's limbs in place, a single finger pointed into her back. "You pipe down, and start throwing your full power behind what I want instead of this half-baked half-and-half bullshit."
"Go fuck yourself." Yousei said, struggling against Nessa's restraint. Nessa smiled, and began whispering in Yousei's ear.
"Dipolar tension, strike out! Burning streams fall from the maw of the great-"
"Okay fine, fine, you bitch!" Yousei responded at the thought of having her abdomen blasted out by the kido. There was a crackle of electricity, but as soon as Nessa stopped incanting the energy faded away, and Nessa kicked the spirit to the floor, and stood over her.
"No more cero. No more mask. I'm done. Lend me your strength, without all this bullshit. Like the old Yousei would have done."
"The old Yousei is dead."
"And I can kill you again."
"..."
"Help me. Help me and we both thrive. You want what I want. The way things are, we're both being held back. Purify me of this power."
"There is... One thing I can do." her spirit looked up from the floor, her glowing eyes peering out from under her fringe. "You will lose your mask... But... Well, your zanpakuto. I can give you... A Segunda Etapa." Nessa blinked.
"A Bankai: Second Release?" Yousei nodded.
"But it's too late now. Wake up. Escape. Escape and when you are safe, I will tell you the words to activate it." Yousei said. Nessa nodded.
Her eyes flew open, mere seconds had passed. Was Arashi still there? She couldn't detect any thing, not that that was much of a surprise.

[attr="class","aritext"]He felt as his fist smashed through the mask. There was a couple spurts of blood that shot out splattering the ground as she flew backwards a bit. It looked like he might have broken her nose but she was still alive. He stood there for a moment as he let go of his shikai returning it to a regular katana. There was no point in fighting anymore now after he had just scored such a nasty blow to her head. If she tried to continue he’d just end up killing her. The man walked slowly over to her as he sheathed his blade, noting that it seemed like he had knocked her out.
He walked past her to look forwards. Arashi wasn’t too sure what to do now. Should he leave? He didn’t think he should considering that she was out cold and if some hollow showed up she’d be killed. So he waited for what seemed like an eternity. His powers lowered and he started to mask his reiatsu as best he could. He knew soon enough someone would be coming, knowing the Gotei Thirteen it would be a captain, especially after such a brutal fight.
After a few minutes he turned around to walk back over to her. He could see her eyes opened now but she didn’t seem to move. “Stay down, I don’t want to keep fighting. I’ll end up killing you if you take another blow like that.” He shook his hand a bit feeling the soreness of it. “Here.” He kneeled closer bringing out a small handkerchief from his robes. “While you might think I’m some horrible bastard I’m really not.” He reached out handing the cloth to her.
“In reality I’m just trying to do what I think is right. Yeah, I was rude to you and wanted you to piss off. Cause right now I can’t afford to be caught by them. I’m working towards a goal and it’s not the one you seem to think. I did betray her, Blod, but it wasn’t like I wanted to. We were outmatched and I didn’t see a way out of it. So I tried to knock her out to create a distraction and hoped that the enemy would take me into their ranks. It worked. So now I’m working with them in a sense. More like I’ve infiltrated.”
He looked somewhat guilty about all of this while he was talking. Arashi felt like scum for doing what he did but he did have a good reason for it. “So, if I am still a bastard so be it, I will continue doing what I need to. That doesn’t mean I want to kill you though. You’re strong, fast, and have some potential. That mask is a problem though and if you intend to ever go back to the others you better figure it out.” He stood back up. “By the way for someone as snarky as you, you’re a pretty cute lady. Maybe if we didn’t get off on the wrong foot we could have been friends.”
