381 words | Shiori Sasaki is present | THEME: 2volt |
Kasha’s plan didn’t exactly go through without a hitch… or rather, it didn’t really go through at all. While she’d hoped in somewhat of a last-ditch effort that the Shinigami would be overconfident and fall for the trick with the blades, Shiori of course was a step ahead of her and dodged backwards, the two blades clanging against each other and falling to the ground. The back-up was her Cero… which faltered and fizzled out just as soon as she tried to fire it. The failure caught her off-guard; was this one of the new girl’s techniques? They both had access to them, but neither would have the slightest idea what they did yet. In that moment of shock, she was caught. By the time Kasha noticed Shiori to her left, blades sweeping in like scissors, there was little she could do; she could’ve tried to dodge to the right, but in moments the petals would catch something and fall on her. Either way she was doomed; blood sprayed as the blades cleaved clean through her neck, head rolling. So this was how their little fight ended, was it? In a simple moment like this? A grin crossed the detached head’s face, the rest of the body still on all fours as if poised to pounce. The head let out a guttural laugh that seemed to echo throughout the entirety of this world. Suddenly blood and black Reiryoku would spray out from both cuts of the neck violently as the rest of her body would fall in a heap on the ground and dissipate into a fine black powder in the wind. “Well done, Shinigami! I didn’t think ya had it in ya!” A vicious, sharp-toothed grin took over the Hollow’s face as its head disappeared in the same fine black dust. Her voice, however, continued, booming and echoing as if from every particle in this world at once. “But if you think this is over… you’re dead wrong! I’ll always be here, watching, waiting… and someday, you’ll slip up, and I’ll be there to take advantage of it!” The last thing Shiori would hear from the Hollow now was the same guttural laugh, booming and echoing for minutes on end before fading into nothingness. Her battle was over… for now. |

The onyx-haired Visored simply stood watch over the Hollowfied Shinigami, indifferent to its struggles and noises. He’d seen it all before, numerous times, and it made no difference to him. He felt no sympathy or anguish for the suffering of the violent beast currently in possession of Shiori’s body, a parasite only seeking to feed on its host in its current form. Soon, though, the beast tired itself out, and it panted, exhausted, only occasionally attempting to free itself again, to no avail. Hidane sighed a breath of relief; finally some relative peace and quiet, though he wondered how much longer it would go on for, and if he would have to put the Hollow down after all. But then, suddenly, there would be a surge of Reiatsu as the Hollow would buck in one last spasm of violent energy; then the body would fall flat, Reiatsu balancing out and the Hollow’s fading away as the material that had come to form over Shiori’s body began cracking and falling away. The Visored undid the bindings and took a few steps forward, watching as the last remnants of the Hollowfication cracked and crumbled away. Another sigh of relief escaped his lips; it appeared as though she had won. Assuming she was conscious, Hidane would offer a friendly smile and a hand to help her to her feet, if she was able. “Welcome back. Good to see ya again.” |
