Thinking on it, the White Desert was the perfect place for him to train his new powers. Plenty of open space so he wouldn't have to worry about his powers going out of control. Targets for him to test out his new powers on. SO long as he left them alive that is. Liam wasn't callous enough to simply obliterate god knows how many souls to simply train his new abilities. They'd be a bit roughed up. But alive for the most part. He just needed to get the skill down. The raw power was something he'd have no issue with providing.
He'd already figured out the first of Gotterdammerung's techniques after the first day. Whatever it was the smoke was made of, inhaling it made Liam feel like he just downed a six-pack of coke. Just a small amount of exposure boosted his speed and reactions by a fair margin. Consciously drawing the smoke into his body boosted it even further.
But that wasn't everything was it? The shard of Ywhach demonstrated far more than a simple speed boost. The thing that Liam was currently interested in was that godawful acid that he had been attacked with. For a while he was convinced that he was going to be dealing with some nasty burn scars, imagine his surprise upon waking up and finding all his previous wounds healed.
Glancing down at the whimpering Hollow beneath him. Liam beckoned the gas to part away from the badly burned creature. Chances are if he let the creature cook for much longer. Figuring out how to use his gas as a spiritual acid was the easy part. The harder part was what came next.
Liam liked building things, that much was inscribed into the core of his being. So naturally, his innate power reflected that. At first he just thought it odd that he seemed to have an intuitive grasp of whatever it was his gas consumed. Able to perfectly tell the makeup of whatever materials he consumed. And testing it against various Hollow let him pick apart their techniques with ease.
But that wasn't the end was it. His power was more than simply taking things apart. He could do more than destroy. He could build, he could recreate, he could fix. That single aspect was at the core of his being. He had the potential to be both a creator and destroyer.
Once more the fog stretched out to the wounded Hollow. But instead of finishing it off. Liam began to replace what had been taken. Muscle, sinew and bone were made anew. Burnt skin sloughed off and was replaced with a fresh layer. In a matter of moments the Hollow that had previously been at death's door had now been fully healed. Sitting up and staring at Liam with a quizzical look. Not unlike that of a confused puppy. The simple concept of mercy being utterly alien to a world where the survival of the fittest was law.
Of course it didn't have much time to dwell on such thing. Mostly due to Liam deciding he had done enough with this particular specimen. And proceeded to punt the spiritual cannibal far off into the distance.
