The sun had begun its descent over the west. Everything seemed like a normal day for the citizens of Karakura Town. The Karasu River looked as clean as ever, and flowed as if it had just finished raining. Under the surface of the river, however, a crack that leading to the Precipice world had formed, slowly leaking out its particles from within, till it massed together. Soon it began to form into a new shape, standing from where it collected. It breached the surface of the river. It appeared as a creature, with a humanoid shape, looking like an arrancar in a sense with its sharp claws. It stood at nearly 6 and a half feet tall.
If it weren't those claws, then the Katana shaded in darkest black made it more threatening. It looked about, sensing something nearby, something oddly familiar to it signature alone. It growled, gripping the handle of its katana, as it walked out of the river, immediately scaring children and adults alike seeing this monster forming and roaring in search of becoming an entity in order to fulfill a purpose.
RRRRrrr.....
With a swipe of its Katana, it released a pulse of energy that blasted a few people away. Their helpless cries echoed through the area, however, will somebody come to help them? This creature was not something that any shinigami had faced, no Hollow or Arrancar was akin to this creature, it didn't have any allies, just enemies that have caused nothing but harm to the world it had resided it, kept dormant, till recently.
An evening in the Human World...was there much else that was more beautiful than the sunsets here? For Kuroda it didn't seem so. For so long he had wanted to return to this, to just resting and watching the oranges and purples of the sky exploding, and yet...there was something off. From down the slope where he was sitting there was an oddity, and the more he looked at it, the more it looked like the river was...cracking?
A leak of spiritual energy was spilling out from it, and it wasn't like something he had ever felt before, there wasn't the usual "Oh, that's a hollow," or "Oh, that's a Quincy" feel to it, it was just...nothing but energy. If this alone wasn't enough to be alarming, the energy that was spilling out was clumping together, amassing into a solid form, almost a head taller than Kuroda was. There it stood in the water, or rather, on the water, long clawed hands grasping what looked to be...a zanpakuto?!
A mix of interest and anxiousness started to flow through Kuroda's veins when it walked towards the bank, and it appeared that the humans could see it as well, as they were fleeing it in terror. In an instant, Kuroda was on his feet, his own blade in its sheath and vibrating, prepared for a battle. Whether the foe was weak or strong, Kuroda was here to protect those who it would bring suffering to.
In the moment that it raised its Katana to swipe at those on the shore, Kuroda vanished, muttering a mixed incantation under his breath, combining that of Bakudo 61 and Bakudo 63. If he was going to engage this opponent, he needed to see just where it's strengths lay. With the two incantations combined, he prepped both spells to be used back to back, and reappeared on the side of the beast opposite it's sword hand, which was coming down to slash at those on the shore. With a gesture of his hands, chains of light, aiming to bind its arms to its sides before it could do any more damage. And, as soon as the chains made contact, the second sealing spell would activate, sending six rods of light around the beast's arms to further restrain them from moving. "Let's see what you're made of..." thought Kuroda, quickly grabbing his Zanpakuto should the spells fail.
It was a strange sensation the moment that he and his brothers all began to encounter some strong signatures. Their collective minds processing information as they all appeared, one by one, detailing not only the features of who they faced, but the feel and strength of their opponent. Just based on that, the hive mind collective began to distribute power and energy to each Dangai Spirit, just enough to be on even grounds with who they faced.
The shinigami who appeared to this particular spirit was indeed strong; his movements were precised, and he even was able to cast off not one, but two kido. The restrains of both bakudo seemed to connect, however, the moment it had received its power, a large burst of reiatsu seemed to overwhelm the strength of the Kido, breaking through both to become free. The shinigami had armed himself, which was fair considering the dangai spirit was already well armed, with not only claws, but rather fearsome looking claws. With a screech that blared throughout the river, the creature dashed forward, moving at an incredible rate, darkened blade in hand as it aimed to strike down at the shinigami from its right shoulder down to his abdomen with its katana. It would be hard to say what the strength of that katana was, at least for now, it only appeared to be akin to a sealed Zanpakuto, but... what was the real secret behind it and what other powers would this creature hide?
Name: Hivemind Class: Unknown Type: Passive Tier: II Range: Indefinite Description: The Dangai Spirits are connected together by a hivemind. The information they receive can be passed down to other spirits, however, it becomes useless to the sender. Information received FROM other spirits can be used to help in combat against their own opponent.
Well...that was a surprise. To break through both of his Bakudo with just a flare of Reiatsu required considerable power, and with this thing being his opponent, he might need to go with nothing held back, he might just need to use his Bankai. At the breaking of his Bakudo, Kuroda tapped the side of his Zanpakuto, calling out its release command, "When lightning strikes, thunder crashes.", and a thunderous boom resounded around him, and the blade morphed, becoming an enormous greatsword which he held in one hand, pulling a hidden dagger from its handle to hold in the other. Now then...time to get to work. The beast dashed at him, but its speed was nothing that he couldn't handle.
In a fluid motion, Kuroda shunpoed away from the slash, appearing about 20 feet above the beast, both blades of his Shikai pointed at its back, exposed from its long swipe. "Kougeki, Hibiki! Jinsoku Kougeki, Hibiki!" He fired off a pair of lightning bolts, a large one from his greatsword, and a smaller, faster one from his dagger. Following the shots, he would Shunpo again, appearing behind the beast, using the bolts to draw its attention away from him. With a swift movement of his wrist, he slashed his greatsword across the beast, the actual attack so fast that it was ahead of the image the attack.
Name: Kougeki, Hibiki! Class: Offensive Tier: III Type: Shikai Technique Range: Short to Long Description: Air is first sucked into the blade through the bell on the end of the zanpakuto, and then, while it is in the chamber, spiritual energy is added to excite the atoms and molecules to boost them to the plasma state of air, lightning. The time it takes to suck in the air and convert it is about the same amount of time as a single breath. Kuroda can continue move while the sword is "Inhaling." Once the conversion is complete the energy is then sent out the tip of the the zanpakuto as a jagged bolt of lightning which moves at about the same speed as a standard Cero.
Name: Jinsoku Kougeki, Hibiki! Class: Offensive Tier: II Type: Shikai Technique Range: Short to Long Description: This attack is essentially a modified version of Kougeki, however Kuroda alters the structure of the lightning created to trade off power for speed. This version of the attack is 10 times as fast as the original, but inflicts half the damage. The time it takes to suck in the air and convert it is about the same amount of time as a single breath. Kuroda can continue move while the sword is "Inhaling." Once the conversion is complete the energy is then sent out the tip of the the zanpakuto as a thin bolt of lightning, which is much more streamlined than the original, which is attributed to its speed, but because of how thin it is, the power behind it is much less than the original. Kuroda can hold up to three charges of this attack in his zanpakuto at a time, and can fire them in rapid succession. This lightning tech moves at half the speed of a standard Bala. The maximum range for this ability is 200 feet.
Name: Fading Strike (Atemi no Taishoku あてみ の たいしょく ) Class: Stepping Tier: I Type: Stepping, Passive Range: Close Description: A strike in the shadow, an image that doesn't exist. Applying his mastery of the sword with his unparalleled speed, Kuroda augments his strikes, be it from blade or hand, creating a discontinuity between the image one sees and the actual strike. The sheer speed of his attack makes it appear slower than it actually is, and the actual attack hits about half a second before the image of the attack looks like it will hit. This plays an opponent against their instincts, as they need to respond to an attack before their vision tells them to. This ability applies during the first attack made in the same post as a use of Kuroda's Shunpo.
The actual fight was beginning. The slash was met with the space that the shinigami used to occupy, as his well timed step prevented any punishable dmamage. The shinigami decided to act, firing not one, but two bolts of energy at it after releasing his power. The Spirit looked up, capturing the essence of the attack, and sending the information through the hivemind. It saw the bolts coming, and almost as if it had already had the ability to do so, it would use a stepping technique of its own, however, its sound would not be akin to the shinigami's but instead to that of an Arrancar's Sonido. It would cleverly step out of place noting the shinigami's second use of another stepping technique, it would follow the shinigami closely, not to be fooled by the guise of the images, and instead, return to its standing point. The collision of the bolts hitting the ground would cause a rise of dust, obscuring the view, however, after clearing, the spirit would have crossed blades with the shinigami. Aware of his second blade, it would note to be weary of attacks coming from that end.
Pressing forward, the spirit would use its open left hand as it gathered reiryoku to launch a point blank Cero. The information gathered from its brother was going to be useful for the fight against this shinigami. Depending on how the shinigami would act, the Spirit will be ready to follow through. The shot of red fire would launch in an upward arc, clearing the river and up into the clear day sky.

Description: Using information gathering from another spirit at this location, the spirit is able to emulate the powers that they have seen, being able to make copies of those techniques. Name: Cero [Hollow Flash] Class: Cero/Bala Tier: IV Type: Offensive Range: 100 Meters Description: Are high-powered energy blasts that can be fired from various places on the body. Only Menos, Arrancar, and Vizard have so far been shown to use Cero attacks, and it appears that stronger entities can use it more efficiently.
As the fight progressed, Kuroda continued to try and figure out just what this thing was. It had a spiritual presence unlike any of the known races, no Shinigami, Hollow, Quincy or Human, had a presence like this. However, what it did next was somewhat against that established point. It was a technique that he had seen several times, used by the hollows to keep up with Shunpo, but to see this thing using Sonido was...unexpected. Nonetheless, it wasn't all that fast compared to Kuroda's own Shunpo. The sound of metal on metal clanged through the air, a shockwave sending large waves of water crashing to the opposite shore.
For the second time today Kuroda would be surprised by the beast, as when they clashed blades, it reached out with its free hand, opening it in a familiar motion to form a glowing red ball. A Cero?! Being familiar with the technique, he knew just how powerful these blasts were. They formed the center of a Hollow's ranged arsenal, and could be used by almost all levels of hollow. At point blank they could be highly damaging, but at the same time, they were easy to dodge.
With a quick move of his wrist, Kuroda flicked his dagger at the blade of the beast, aiming to use the blade to guide the tip of the dagger at its chest. He released his grip on the dagger, letting the chain that held it and the greatsword together extend. As the blade flew, he shunpoed around the beast, putting both hands on the handle of his greatsword and swinging downward at the beast's arm that was outstretched and charging the Cero. The force behind the swing was aimed to cut the arm right off as it was charging. The swing itself was at high speed, great enough that the image of the swing was delayed from the physical impact of the blade.

Thsi shinigami's movements were quite precise, as it was charging the cero, he was already moving about to make his next attack. He was definitely quick, but the Spirit was just as quick, given that it was able to adjust its skill to match his opponent's, thanks to the hivemind, it can adjust the level of strength to be on par with the shinigami. No matter, it allowed the shinigami's dagger to pierce its chest, even with an available hand holding the zanpakuto. As it struck down its arm, it would use this chance to quickly turn and swipe across the shinigami, losing an arm itself in the process however, using the opening to ensure its attack.
If it was successful, it would strike the shinigami from the left, and leave a slash across its torso all the way to its right side. With its arm finally dissipated, it would simply give a charge of its reiatsu. The next image of the spirit would be its arm growing back from the stub that the shinigami left as evidence of its arm. It would then seek out where the shinigami was left, and then resume its attack by quickly charging its cero again, and firing it directly at the shinigami.

A hit! A palpable hit! He had managed to strike the beast in the chest with his dagger, and cut off its arm. That would bring the ball into his court. But of course it wouldn't last. In the moments after his attacks landed the beast was already responding, unfazed by the loss of its arm. A swing came at him from his left side, the beast's Zanpakuto whistling through the air. From his left side the attack came, and so came his defense. He couldn't get his Zanapkuto there in time, but there was a fast way to protect himself. Projected from the left side of his body a yellow circular shield erupted, blocking the blow from the Zanpakuto before it could hit Kuroda. With that attack stopped, Kuroda dashed away before the shield could collapse completely.
With his dagger still in the beast's chest, Kuroda had a perfect conduit to disperse his spiritual energy through and use his Shikai's strongest attack. Denki Dama. With a gradual buildup around the beast, Kuroda's spiritual energy was dispersed, and with it flowing around his target, Kuroda solidified the spiritual energy into a spherical shell encapsulating it. The shell was made of thick yellow light, and had a twenty food radius, capturing the spirit inside. As soon as the entire sphere formed, powerful blasts of lightning fired directly at the beast, aiming to disintegrate it inside the shell.
Name: Bakudo #39 Enkosen (Arc Shield) Tier: III Range: Short Incantation: Description: Summons a large, circular shield of condensed reiatsu to block opponents' attacks. The user's Zanpakutō is used as the central focus of the shield. An Advanced or Mastered user can bypass this flaw and use it on any part of their body.
Name: Denki Dama Class: Offensive, Defensive Tier: IV Type: Range: AoE Description: The most powerful of Kuroda's shikai abilities, Denki Dama is a combination of both the offensive and defensive capabilities of Arashi Souzousha. After charging, Kuroda disperses his spiritual energy around the target rapidly to envelop them without them noticing. Once that is done the outer edge of the energy solidifies into an orb that is similar to Hihei, Arashi Souzousha, but instead of protecting on the outward curve, it contains the target by having the internal curve as the shield. Finally, the remaining energy within the orb converts into lightning similar to Kougeki, and discharges into anything within the orb.
It was definitely odd and interesting seeing the shinigami as he reacted in each way. His defense was smooth, and the transition to offense was effortless. All though the Spirit saw the opening, and acted accordingly, there was something that always got away. The Shinigami dashed away from the Spirit, but still kept the dagger in tact into its chest. Without warning there seemed to come another surge of energy from the shinigami that immediately went off in a charge of destructive energy. Then suddenly, there were impacts of electrical energy that came from the orb that formed around it, striking at the spirit repeatedly as bits and more bits of its body were beginning to wear away. There was not much the Spirit was able to do while trapped inside, and the moment the information was received that barrage was over what was left of the spirit was not enough to regenerate.
As it feel the dangai particles that remained in the area began to react, rising from the ground in such a way that it started to even surround the area in small, black dots. White Noise began to echo throughout the location, buzzing into anybody's ear that was nearby. One by one the dots began to disappear, creating distortions of space. These distortions seemed to appear as if there was a crack in the mirror in suspension. The dimensional rift nearby began to break apart, sounding as a loud distorted blare until suddenly... there was nothing. The area was suddenly gone, the spirit, and even the shinigami had suddenly been... cleared... deleted... vanished.
