“You lost control, Hidane.” So it was true, if Seran was to be believed. While the Visored wasn’t particularly fond of this particular Mod Soul, to say the least, he had no reason to believe he was lying. So he’d lost control, and his Hollow had taken over. Kurosenkou had taken over. He looked past Seran to where he’d thrown his Zanpakuto, held now by the younger mod soul who knew nothing of any of this. Only that he’d been brought here; she probably didn’t know that he’d probably been on the verge of leveling half the city. On top of that, in his loss of control he’d picked a fight with the head of the Kidoshu? He’d vaguely remembered a Shinigami being there, but the head of the Kidoshu? His head hurt as he thought back, but as he thought back, the memories became a little clearer, and it rung true. If that was the case, then… “Shit.” That meant all of his work up until this point was probably undone, if not reversed. He hoped to meet this Kidoshu again someday, when he’d regained full control, assuming she wouldn’t attempt to execute him on sight should it happen. He turned his eyes back to Seran. “Well, I suppose you had good reason to lock me up then. You have my thanks for that.” His posture eased, as much as it could in captivity anyway. He took a deep breath, but could still hear the voices calling from the younger mod soul, or rather the blade in her hands; one was Kurosenkou’s old voice, innocent, untainted, and the other was the mangled choir of the new Zanpakutou’s voice, calling for him to unleash his power and break out. He would not. “Unfortunately, there isn’t really much I can do about the problem here.” He wasn’t even sure if there was anything he could do about the problem at this point. He’d felt the influence of the Hollow growing since that day two decades ago, but he’d never completely lost control since he’d first become one with the Hollow’s essence. He couldn’t even remember it happening himself. The last thing he remembered clearly was… the bar. Well, that was a place to start if he was trying to get rid of potential problems. He’d spent the better part of the last two decades trying to stay drunk enough that he couldn’t think; it was only a matter of time until he ran into a demon from his past and chose to handle it poorly. “On top of that, I kind of need her… my Zanpakuto… to deal with it. You may or may not have been able to notice it yet, but it would seem as though she and the Hollow inside me are… well, one and the same now.” He paused for a moment, wondering how Seran would react to this. “I have a safe place I can work things out in, at my own pace, if it is at all possible. At the very least I am certain I can make it there without losing control in this state.” He had to get out of here, to retrieve Kurosenkou and get back to the Visoreds’ warehouse. It was the only place he could hope to deal with this. |
