The absolute chaos within the hospital of the fourth may only been partially prepared to produce some form of organization with those coming in need for a quick fix only to fly off shortly after to return to a group. More and more healers were being requested on field; far more than they ever had since Kawa began as a mere scrub in the storage room. Many of the seated soldiers of the 4th, as well as their Vice Captain and Captain, had long since gone ahead to battle; half a team having been pulled from an out-of-division event activity while the more higher-ups were torn from whatever meeting they had to discuss this time this month. Kawa doubted it had anything to do with the sudden rush of patients filling her side of the hospital.
"Alright, get me a full list of who's here; I already know their occupation and skills; just shoot me their names. We need recon and support groups, STAT."
A lot of the Shinigami who had come in for only minor injuries were also requesting backup for the rest of their squad. Leaving any persons from the hospital at a time like this... well, quite frankly, this wasn't Kawa's fucking job. She didn't deal with this bullshit; the drama of the courts, hollow attacks and the sort were the responsibilities of so many other divisions. She never wanted to see that shit cross her desk, let alone fall flat onto her lap in sixteen-inch folders that nearly towered in double upon her door-permanently-opened no-longer-private-room.
All her Hollowfication research had already been torn down, with whatever she hadn't taken or packed simply folded and tossed aside neatly in preparation for the following days trash removal. While Kawa may have preached her displeasure for leadership, when shit honestly hit the fan, it was one her most beautiful assets. The high-strung, attention to focus, calm complexity within her soul and features and near bark-snapping voice kept the peons at full attention at all times. Multitasking was easy and helpful to a point but ensuring everyone was doing their damn job while having a stack of jobs yourself was on a whole other level of pay scale. She was comfortable with the freedom she had; her own clinic, her own focus, her own drive... her own cases.
None of that mattered at the moment, though. The selfish woman didn't even seem to express any discontent over the matter as six more crews of Shinigami came from all directions to the hospital of the Fourth in an attempt to get some sort of medical aid and, hopefully, any word from any other divisions. For the moment, however, there was nothing but radio silence. The only thing they heard were the sounds of an all out war going on outside... and it sounded as though the chaos was closing near.
"Nothing has currently been sent to our division in accordance to the attacks!" Kawa spoked rather loudly, shouting from the corner of the room as she made 8 stitches down an arm in record timing and began to pour liquidized spiritual energy mucus over the near six-inch gash. A brush of her hands was made, and she hastily left the area, allowing other doctors and nurses to complete the final stages of that particular surgery.
"Right now, there's no high-ranking official to lead us here! I can only assume they're all on the battlefield, having had no time to leave any instruction." Kawa's gaze fell upon those lined up before her. Several were injured, others were filled with a mix of anxiety, worry, fear; everything expected of those being forced into the unknown. Kawa had her fair share of experience on the field and she knew how to handle taking charge. While it wasn't something she enjoyed or found comfort in, it was most certainly an all too familiar scenario for her. "So, I'll take the short straw and... and lead the Hospital and 4th Division as a whole at this location until word or person remove me otherwise!"
With most of those currently closest to her already most of her staff and despite the rather childish doctor’s crazy antics understood full well just how much charge she could take when shit hit the fan like this. It was like a whole other doctor that only truly took face at the end of a diagnosis, after the team figures it out rather, since Kawa would likely let another six or eight tests run on the patient, all the while, knowing exactly what ailment could be cured. But it was a way to teach; her way to teach. Certainly, a shitty way, but effective in some manner nonetheless.
"All seated members not currently stationed in this particular wing of the hospital are to aid any incursion happening within neighboring divisions! Remain bordered as backup may be supplied, if required so remain diligent and make sure you keep communication open; right now, we have absolute radio silence so let's break out of that and keep ourselves available to each other. Shikai and Bankai abilities with generic effects that won't have negative repercussions with healing kido, medications and a patient’s life should be focused toward surgery and dire injured areas! Life-threatening bring to the front; emergent surgeries and internal damage to the front as well, recovery and non-emergent aid to the back."
People began to run about, crisscrossing through the front courtyard as Kawa brought the speech to the full entrance of the hospital. From out of nowhere, an immense cave-drilling sensation erupted at the side of her temple, attempting to drill straight through her head with a commanding, repetitive pulsating thud, thud, thud. Her left eye closed, jaw clenched tightly, and one hand went up to her head in an attempt to relieve some tension building. With a hand motion into her robe and a flick of her thumb, a prescription bottle was opened, and a handful of painkillers were sent down the woman's throat in a dryer-than-desert swallow. Not even a wince of distaste greeted her pained expression and as she fought through the pain, she took another step forward and raised her voice even more.
"All defensive and supportive Shikai, Bankai and Kido-user specialists throughout the hospital. We're cutting the hospital in half, but it will take time, so if we need to, focus on the east side and north wing of the hospital at first; double-up if you must. But just because it'll help speed up surgeries, that's no reason to not remain focused and take your time. Remember, everyone that you touch has given their life to you; YOU are responsible for every action you take. Surgeons and healing specialists take the lead at the front of the hospital; nurses, delegate everyone that comes through the door. Back each other up and for fuck's sake, COMMUNICATE!"
"I'm taking a spot on the roof. Nanami, I need you to keep talking to me from wherever you are in that hospital. If I leave this very spot, I want to hear your voice non-stop unless it's to take a breath, a drink, an idiot's correction, a line of cocaine, an epidural, or you're dead; got it? You are my eyes and ears inside and I will be this hospitals eyes and ears outside."
Already, Kawa's senses filled with battles not too far off, some aiming in their direction; individuals likely attempting an escape path to the hospital but were being unfortunately chased down. One spiritual entity vanished from her mind, followed by another. Times were dire in deed. Groups were hastily being brought together not only by Kawa's strong leadership but by her faithful life-assistant-couch Nanami, who hastily brought rescue crews together to help those in need that could reach the hospital in time.
"Fifty meters!" Kawa shouted. "I will not exceed Fifty-Meters of this hospital. And within these 50 Meters, no malevolent force shall break. If something does, then it's your fucking fault! Am I clear?!"
>>"HAI! RIGHT! YES!! KAWA!! SENSEI!!!"
"I said Am I Fucking Clear?!"
>>"RIGHT!!!"
Like a faithful itch that knew exactly what time it was, Kawa felt a pull at her enclosed eye; skin cracking, peach-cream becoming paler and porcelain-like; cracking in various points beyond what the eye-patch could cover. Her hand clasped upon the hilt of her blade and with a swift motion, withdrew the sword from its sheath. The more focus she had elsewhere, the less focus she had upon... corruption, infection, her own personal...
Well, at least she knew what would be coming next, at least...
