Spirit Appearance:
Aien's Zanpakutou, Taiji, is a fairly tall woman that actually has the appearance of a body builder. As in she could probably use Aien as a bench press with some extra weight to it as a warm up. She stands up to roughly 6 feet tall and weighs about 182 pounds. Taiji wears a brown leather sleeveless top with a V neck that provides little protection. Swaying with her movements is a hakama that billows out to hide her legs as it possesses a deep indigo with golden trim at the bottom similar to flames as it extends up to her knees. Donned on her hands is a pair of black leather gloves that extends past her biceps, stopping at the cannonball of her shoulder. As it is held in place with belts. On her right arm like bracer of sorts, a small piece of armor can be found as it provides protection mainly on the wrist. Draped over her left shoulder is one part of her shirt as she uses the sleeve as an arm sling of sorts for her left arm supported by another belt. On the back of her hands is a small white metal plate that has one golden cross embed into the plating on both hands.
Spirit Personality:
Taiji acts like a second mother towards Aien and in a similar perspective she has a very protective instinct over Aien. If there's something wrong with him Taiji generally does what she thinks is best to either let him vent his frustrations out or even take his anger out on her. Though taking his anger out has never happened before, but she'll endure it to an extent. If his anger was to ever prove excessive Taiji will put Aien in his place. She is very tomboyish so to speak and has a very strong willpower. Taiji is intelligent, but she doesn't exactly think outside the box which is something Aien is proving to have over his Zanpakutou. To her eyes, Aien is almost unpredictable of what he'll do.
When someone enters the inner world that is not Aien, Taiji immediately becomes hostile and will most likely attack the intruder unless Aien say otherwise. In that situation it is best that they stay near Aien or else Taiji might break a few bones or two to get the intruder to leave as soon as possible. She is kind and loyal, but she hates it when anyone else enter the inner world. However this is to be expected as she views the inner world as Aien's personal castle and he is the King of this castle. Anyone invading this castle is like initiating a federal offense and will be dealt with swiftly so to speak unless the King issues verbal protection to keep Taiji to stand her ground.
Inner World:
Aien's inner world is very complex as it is filled with many tunnels that lead further underground. On the surface there is nothing but gravel as far as the eye can. It is actually a lot bigger than Aien can perceive, but that is only because his inner world has this dome of fog where it prevents sight after a certain distance. This fog eventually expands as Aien's understanding his powers and the more experience he acquires. Every now and then there is a patch of dried dead trees that look like they can wither just by breathing on it. However these trees have been petrified to thus take on similar material like granite, making it normally hard to break, even through spiritual methods.
These tunnels lead to various locations ranging from underground lakes to even more tunnels as some of the surface tunnels meet together in order to branch off more. One iconic feature is that any bodies of water found here despite the depress surroundings due to lack of color. These bodies of water take a rather glowing pale blue color that dimly lit up a small area. A large body of water such as a lake for instance brightly lights up the nearby area at ten meters, and another twenty meters of dim lighting. These water are actually pools of reishi that is hidden within Aien's soul. Some of these bodies of water however take on a more crystalized form of reishi into various structures.
About 100 meters below ground is the beginning of something different that might actually be a complete counterpart of the previous lands. The tunnels open up into multiple linked caverns that are dazzling white substance that almost take on the form of gravel except they crumble just by squeezing it. Inside of this area is dark pools of reishi that are best to be avoided. This part of the world is best referred to as Yin, while the surface area and down until 100 meters is referred to as Yang. All of the negative emotions and mindset actually take on the form of various monsters roaming through these tunnels. While Yin's caverns contain all of Aien's positive emotions and mindsets as they too turn into creatures.
Both of these actually have guardians so to speak, as before Aien can even reach Yin for the first time Aien would come face to face with the Yang Aien. Thus a trial takes place where Aien needs to overcome the Yang side of his soul in order to advance further inside and thus gain a better understanding of his powers. Then after traveling down another 100 meters further into Yin Aien comes across the Yin side of his Shinigami powers. Whereas another trial takes place as Aien needs to overcome the Yin in order to advance further. After Aien has overcome both Yin and Yang, a double set of doors featuring black and white with a galaxy image constantly in motion appears before Aien. This is considered Aien's final trial and thus would begin his Bankai obtainment. As this door leads into a mystical city found only after Aien has overcome both trials.
Beyond this door leads to a city that never obeys the laws of gravity nor does it obey the laws of physics. The outside of the city's border is nothing but galaxy as far as the eye can see. While the city's structure is mostly made up of sheer white marble that is beaming with reishi. Black iron poles raise up along the streets that contains a crystal form of pale blue reishi that radiates enough light for the streets to be well lit. The city's inhabitants contain the same creatures found roaming through the tunnels, except they're not as hostile as before. Occasionally asteroids would fly near the city, but like an invisible barrier of reishi they would be deflected elsewhere. However the trial would take place in the Yin and Yang Palace. Where Aien would literally have to take the throne for himself and prove that he has all of the qualities to take control over his soul, mind, and body.

Upon released into the Shikai state, multiple tendrils of darkness slither out from the hilt of the Zanpakutou and proceed to cocoon the entire blade in darkness. With a flex of reishi, a pale blue misty like aura erupts from the reishi, breaking apart the dark cocoon like it was glass. Revealing a 3 foot long katana that has a beautiful galaxy like image implanted on the blade that is constantly in motion on the blade. The hilt is wrapped in blade and white threads as they're connected to four indentions that was in the brass gold tsuba. Where two half circle pearls can be found in its place and the other two is half circle jets. Six rather small stars can be found along the hilt, each within a different color ranging from red, white, green, orange, and even purple colors.
