Gage Shifts down into second gear, the engine revving up to match the speed of the transmission. The massive truck spits diesel smoke into the air, black billowing clouds gushing out of the roof mounted exhaust pipe. "Oops," checking his rear view mirrors he looks around, remembering that engine breaking in this district was not allowed as it caused too much noise. Taking a left into his property he parks the truck, hopping out and closing the seven foot tall green panel gate behind the truck separating him from the would outside. He was home finally, two days in Hueco mundo with no sleep making him edgy and a little irritable.
There was too much work to be done though. Opening the garage he grabe the huge steel vat that he has been storing for just this occasion. Pulling on it the five hundred pound barrel does not budge an inch. "Ugh..." Grabbing it again Gage puts a bit of shoulder into it, the base dragging on the concrete with a loud metal on concrete screech. Moving it to the center of his bay he walks out the garage to the truck. He didn't really know how much Vasto Blood he needed to get this whole project to work so he collected...well...he collected more than enough. Popping open the tail gate he looks at eight fiftygallon barrels that he had collected along with a metal box that held the mask of the hollow.
Checking his fence line he makes sure that no one can see him over the top, not that any one ever really could but who knows with kids these days. Hopping up into the truck he starts rolling them one at a time to the back, lowering them to the ground and then inside where he drains the contents into the metal vat. The vat itself was six feet across, five feet tall, fillign up half way with the contents of all eight barrels. Using his soul communication he pushes the ground down under the vat, lowering it until the level of the red black blood was a few inches below ground level. Grabbing the side of the vat he pulls on it, soul communication cutting off the top of it so that it appears to be an in ground pool of...blood. Yay, he was insane now. Frankenstein would be proud.
Next he pulls out eight five gallon glass jars, pulling the lids off and lining them up beside the vat. Taking a deep breath Gage pulls on the blood, the hollow energy still instilled in the blood resisting his efforts before succombing to his energy. Using the Soul Communication he spins it all, 400 gallons of blood spinning mid air, ten time a minuet, twenty, fiftey, one hundred, five hundred times a minuet. Soon the red bood cells, the material he wanted began to fling itself off the sides like rings off of Saturn. Catching them mid air he continues, flinging the blood off, leaving nothing but plasma in the center. Pulling on the red blood cells he draws them over to the jars, lowering the plasma back into the vat.
All eight jars fill to the brim, the glass lids sealing themselves shut locking the contents in. The Plasma he reloads into the barrels, soul communication rolling them aside almost as if from their own accord. Sealing the lid he makes sure that they are tight enough not to let the smell of hollow blood into the air, it would be more than a pain in the ass if the nearby hollows were to get a wiff of his project and come by poking their nose about the area. Grabbing a cart he loads the eight five gallon glass jars filled with red blood cells from the hollow and heads towards his lab.
---
In his lab Gage sets out the jars, opening the lids and lowering a metal rod attatched to a wiring harness leading to his Soul Convergence system. He has used it on several other occasions and it had always worked up until now so it would only make sense that if he were able to eneter the inner world of a 'hollows blood' he would be able to find remnants of the souls that it had consumed. Sealing the jars Gage takes his place in his chair, leaning back tenativly, his torso still aching as it touches the metal of the chair back. Lowering his right hand onto the metalic handle he takes a few calming breaths. He has never tried to communicate with anything that came from a hostile beign and he was not sure how it was going to be once he entered.
"L.A.N.I. Go ahead and start the sequence," 5...4...3...2...1...Gage could feel a tug in his left hand, his mind going blank for a moment before his conciousness being pulled into the computers system. White...as was common for the starting of the program he was standing in a blank world, no walls to echo sound. Checking his missing arm he feels a bit of disappointment. It was still gone in here too. It makes sense as it was actually the portion of his soul in his right arm that had exploded. In a spiritual world he would not have a right arm as there is no spirit left of it.
Then he stops, his breath catching in his throat. He was suddenly surrounded on all sides, hundreds of people all around him. No, thousands of them. Stretching out as far as he could see in all directions, all standing still staring at him. The souls of those consumed...all standing in front of him. It was literally an army of souls...all watching him as a singular hive mind. Fullbring contract time. "Those of your souls that have not been corrupted by evil, may you not feel the fires of my own." With that he snaps his fingers, the fire erupting from his finger exploding into the sky and opening up like an umbrella to cover everyone in its white yellow light.
Screams of pain echo in the white nothingness, his soul Communication burning all the souls that have been touched with evil leaving only those souls that are good, innocent and honest unburned. It was similar to watching a reverse rapture as theives, cheaters, compulsive liars and murders all explode with fire leaving the innocent to stand watching him. What he was doing...it was the act of a monster but it was needed for his work. Flames died, the crowed diminished a great deal. They were cut down in number by at least 90%. If he had known that he was going to do that to so many souls then maybe he would have considered something else but at least those souls were now re-entering the 'cycle' of life.
Back in the real world Gage's body is twitching, energy exerted from his body flowing into the machines before traveling through the wiring harness and boiling the blood in each of the jars. A single small tube in each jar draws the burns damaged blood out, filtering the pure blood back into the jars, each one now only filled a couple of inches. The muck pulled out of each jar, black like tar, bubbles and oscillates almost as if it has a mind of its own. The blood in the jars though all fade to black, not dying but somehow becoming a deep midnight, sparkling from within as if filled with stars and moons. When Gage awoke he would need rest. He always does after using the Soul Convergence system.
