"you wake to find the world attempting to announce its end. and then you find that no one in this world can stop it..."
Freshly graduated from the Shinigami Academy Yoon-mi was finally able to get into the meat of what she signed up for. Albeit it being simple soul patrol, she still reveled in the idea of defending the weak from the monsters that went bump in the night. Or in this case, during the daytime. The mission given to her was quite simple, patrol the outskirts of the town in search of lost souls who needed to be ferried away to Soul Society. The time frame given was but a short sample size, but Yoon-Mi was resolved to make the most of it. Stepping through the Senkaimon and into the plane of where the living dwelled, there was a sense of familiarity that tickled her senses. The wind nipping at her cheeks, the various smells and chatter. All of it was so very familiar to her that for a moment she paused, simply taking in everything.
"the human world is so different from what i thought or heard..."
Gazing up, the amber light was almost blindingly bright as she squinched her eyes. Dressed in her Academy attire with her sword dangling at her hip, Yoon-Mi took to higher ground. Grabbing hold of a power line she hung from its side, one leg dangling to stablize her position. Surveying the distance with gleaming pools of chestnut she eagerly searched for anything of interest. Cars, passerby's, animals, and even the various sounds of the city intrigued the young shinigami. She felt so out of place, but at the same time bewildered enoughto not care."Wow!" She said with enthusiasm and she rotated slowly. During her many days of training she would often talk about what the human world waslike with her fellow classmates. They'd spend hours discussing many possibilities as well as rumors. While she had yet to credit any truth to those stories she'd been told, Yoon-Mi could definitely understand the infatuation some Shinigami had with the Human world. Maintaining her vantage point she continued to look down upon the world in hopes of finding lost souls or even maybe stray hollow for her to exterminate

There it was, that roar again. He heard one like this before, with his Russian comrade Mikhail and together, they defeated the monster. The young one did not know much in the ways of speech, and coordinating anything seemed difficult. He ran with Mikhail at first, but together, they dispatched the beast that continued to follow them. The unfolding of the event was so catastrophic, it did what he hoped would never happen. They found him. The most dangerous of the Legion's units, the ones spoken only about in whispers and rumors. For all the terrible things for Roman to endure, to see, and to do, those within the ranks hunting him would take that all in as child play. It was shortly after Mikhail took to another area, though it seemed to be they would reunite one day or another. There was no doubt within the Ex-Legionnaire's mind Mikhail would also find himself in some trouble from their former masters.
It happened at night, as any ambush should have. In these situations, with a member of the Legion escaped after slaughtering his brothers and sisters, very few would be sent to track the escapee down. There was only one tasked to track Roman, as this sort of mission was hush-hush on many levels. Anyone witnessing the event would either be mind wiped, or killed. No one in Karakura would know of Roman's existance.
It took less than five minutes for the fight to end, and it opened with the suppressed combat rifle peppering his alleyway home in a hail of bullets. While Roman did receive a few of these to his body, he was able to use his powers to stop the rest of the clip from actually killing him. Just as the protective layer of energy surrounded him, it was gone and Roman played the part of dead. His hunter should have radioed in for extraction, but overconfidence could best any of the strongest warriors. Roman's bleeding body was rolled over onto his back, revealing furrowed eyes that immediately sparked with red light. A Brain Blast fired from his forehead, blowing off the man's upper right portion of his chest, almost all of his neck, and half of the arm on the same side. The body slumped, and in a state of great haste did he take the contents from his would-be Assassin's body.
One combat rifle, half clip of 5.56 rounds. -Two reloads. (60 rounds) One clip regular, one clip Spiritual Killers -Multi-vision scope -Suppressor One Tokarev, full clip -Two reloads One Ballistic Knife -One Reload Canteen Armored Battle Suit -Damaged Two Flash Bang Grenades One PMK, or Personal Medical Kit
Two doses of Lortrin One dose of Kibble Two sticks of Heavenly Dragon's Mist Two joints of Ghost Weed
Knowing better than to stay in his current area, the Psyker fled the scene of the crime, half way across town and almost found himself bled out completely by that time. He used the PMK to dig out and close up his wounds to the effect of staunching the bleeding, then proceeded to use Flesh Knit to close the wounds up. Roman knew very little of the spiritual world, as his area of expertise was based around dealing with the mundane, not the supernatural. The very same man who tracked him down with the purpose of killing him may have saved his life at one point. These were the ones who fought the hidden battles against the Hollow, while their brethren fought against armed insurgents and the like. Roman did not know the mere use of his powers would attract a Hollow, and it came calling sometime in the afternoon. Shortly after his bullet wounds found themselves healed into scars, the lack of blood and mental strain used to keep him from dying initially caused him to black out. Having not used his mind for so long did not help as well. It was the telltale roar of the Hollow that forced his bloodshot eyes open, scanning frantically and rising with a groan. The heavy footsteps shook the ground to the point of a small earthquake happening as it grew closer. He saw the beast, hideous in form, looking like some sort of chimera between the arms, pincers and tail of a scorpion, the body of a guerilla, the legs of a ram and the hideous bone mask resembling something only wrought from the nightmares of humans.
It stood in the alleyway for but a single moment, then rushed forward to attack.
There was the faint sense of reiatsu detected by Yoon-Mi, thereafter followed by the terrifying roar of a beast. One she knew that prowled the world of living in search of filling the void. From her perched position she took off, lithe, fluid motions taking her quickly to the rooftop where she navigated the high ground with finesse. Her heart was throbbing as sweat dripped from her brow. She hadn't fought these monsters on her own yet. Only in groups of three and five were they allowed to execute hollows. Yoon-Mi's lips pursed as she gripped the hilt of her zanpakuto tightly. Down below her hazel eyes surveyed the dimly lit alley way and instantly she saw a man who appeared injured. "Oh my God!!
Yoon-Mi leap down in a single bound, unsheathing her soul slayer and parrying the ferocious swipe!
"Are you unhurt?"
Speaking quickly she glanced at him for but a brief moment before locking eyes with the giant beast. She could still feel the ringing within both her hands that still shook. He was definitely no small fry or at-least he was well out of her fighting range, 'I would get myself into this type of situation...' Musing to herself, the young Shinigami toook a fighting stance, bracing herself for the next onslaught. Hopefully the human who she mindlessly talked to out of pure habit would flee out of terror for being moved, but at this close proximity to a hollow perhaps he could maybe see the beast. Truthfully, Yoon-Mi was too scared to see the expression on the mans face instead, she was overwhelmed by a ferocious onslaught of swipes that she just barely fended off.
Whilst his combo, she ended up grabbing the man by his collar and retreating further into the encroaching alley by dashing back.

Maybe it was the heat of the moment, or the adrenaline rushing through his tired body, but something inside Roman snapped. It could have been a serious mental break down, by the looks of it. PTSD kicking into overdrive. He hadn't even replied to the Shinigami when she asked about his status, he reached down and grabbed the rifle and was about to start firing when the girl got in the way, selfless were her motivations but he did not know that. Roman screamed at the Shinigami in Russian to get out of the way, that she was blocking his line of fire from the nightmare! When he finally got a clear shot, he felt the tug of his shirt collar pull him back deeper into the alley. His response given, again in Russian, was for the girl to let him go, though the only part Yoon-Mi would be able to make out was the name Svetlana. In his mind, he saw Yoon-Mi as his former unit commander trying to pull him out of a situation he refused to leave.
“NYET!”
Roman screamed, his eyes going wide as he raised the half-empty rifle up and unloaded the remaining ten rounds. Thunderous booms echoed for just a few seconds, yet the gun's ammunition had no effect on the Hollow. Those bullets were meant to take down a human, not something of the supernatural. He hadn't, in his lack of thought, grabbed the other two clips of ammo. He threw the automatic weapon to the ground and reached behind him, pulling out the combat knife and throwing his body around to escape the Shinigami's grip on him. The Hollow pursued at a quick pace, it's pincered arms reaching out with rapid snips. Had Roman not broke free, he would have been in a bad spot and maybe even torn in half. Rather than an end to his life, the Russian took two steps forward before jumping up into the air towards the Hollow. He cleared over both of the beast's arms and nearly made it to the monster's face when the tail lashed out and quickly stabbed him in the shoulder. The mind-shattered scream of the Psyker grew only louder as he landed against the creature's fur covered chest and grabbed with one hand, while frantically stabbing at the Hollow in vain. It was at this time that the Hollow's poison filled stinger rose again and moved to strike.

So I put my faith in something unknown I'm living on such sweet nothing But I'm tired of hope with nothing to hold I'm living on such
sweet nothing
Taken aback by the half way understandable language the now excited man spoke, but she watched with wide eyes as he unloaded into the general direction of the beast. The sound of open fire echoing throughout the alley in a aggressive ballad meant for the horned beast. She had tried to save him and yet he seemed irritated with her efforts. Did she not save his life? As he squirmed around and threw himself into peril yet again Yoon-Mi could only stand in awe.
"...Uh...Okaaaay..."
She wasn'tsurprised to say the least, but no matter his issues with her help. destroying these monsters and protecting life was a duty she was sworn to uphold. The strange man had cleared the beastcompletely, stabbing it a loud deafening roar was released that resonated throughout the young girls bones. A breath would exhaled as she drew the sleek steel from its scabbard and pushed off into a quick dash. Carrying herself upwards the stinger of the hollow would be deflected from the human with a quick draw, heralded by the sound of a clank confirming the impact.
Graceful footwork would carry her to the mans side while the beast thrashed wildly about in pain. Grabbing the senile man she'd attempt to pull him away, narrowly dodging a quick swipe from the hollow who than followed up with a thrust from its stinger. "This is not the time for you to lose it sir!" It wasn't easy for her to remove him from the situation, in fact the beast almost made contact with her side, evident by a tear in her uniform. Sucking her teeth she put a few more feet between herself and the hollow. Just what was this mans problem she thought as she stole a glance at his direction for the first time.
